The Hansen’s Events Photo Shoots are easy and leisurely strolls around some of Hong Kong’s most interesting and “photogenic” areas. The aim is to really dive into the subject matter and end up with a collection of photos depicting both known and hidden sides to Hong Kong.
Sharing knowledge of and about the area, your guide will lead you through the chosen location indicating some points of interest. However, there will also be time for you to wander about on your own searching for motifs. The current list of destinations includes heritage trails and old towns, busy and laid-back fishing harbours, market streets, colourful shanty towns, wetlands rich in bird life, mangrove-clad shorelines and more or less abandoned villages. There will also be the occasional island excursion. In other words, there should be something for everybody.
Each Photo Shoot will last 3-4 hours and – where possible – conclude with a meal (optional). Most Shoots will be morning outings finishing in time for lunch, but some will start around mid-day so we can capture the warmer afternoon light.
We hope that after each shoot all participants will e-mail us their best 4 pictures to be posted on a dedicated Photo Shoot corner on the Hansen’s Events website.
The next Hansen's Photo Shoot on Saturday 13 February will explore a number of more or less abandonned Hakka villages and the rich bird life around the edges of Starling Inlet in the northeastern New Territories.
