Murder and Mayhem in Kowloon
Hong Kong is, by most standards, one of the safest places in the world, yet we have managed to produce (or
import) a few infamous criminals over the years. This afternoon stroll will explore crime scenes, hang outs and
breeding grounds around Kowloon. You will learn about murders and murderers, serial rapists, prostitution
rackets, limping triad bosses, police gone bad and much, much more.
However, it won’t be all doom and gloom: As we make our way southwards from Kowloon Tong and Sham Shui Po
via Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei, our route will take us past numerous sites and buildings of historical and religious
interest as well as some of Hong Kong’s many fascinating market streets. We will not be in a rush, so you will
have time to browse a little…
Our walk finishes just after sunset at an interesting “watering hole” somewhere off the southern part of Nathan
Road allowing us to digest and review the day’s impressions over a happily priced refreshment…
