Booking
a) Your booking is upon the terms and conditions contained in these Booking Conditions, which represents the entire agreement between
you and Hansen’s Hikes. Your booking is not accepted, and no Contract shall be deemed to exist between you and Hansen’s Hikes, until the
date shown on the letter of confirmation.
b) No representation or statement made in the Hansen’s Hikes’ brochure or any of its promotional or other material shall form part of these
Booking Conditions.
To reserve a space on any hike, please complete our RESERVATION FORM and return it to us by e-mail or mail. Your credit card details are
used only as a means to guarantee your booking. No charge will be made to this credit card unless you cancel your reservation. Please refer
to fee chart under the section “cancellations” on this page.
Payment
Actual payment must be made in CASH (any currency) or by personal cheque drawn on a Hong Kong bank at the meeting point. Credit cards
are NOT accepted for final payment.
Confirmation
Once your booking form has been received by us together with your credit card guarantee, we will issue you with a booking confirmation
which includes full meeting place, meeting time and transportation details
Prices
All prices are quoted per person on a join-in tour and in Hong Kong dollars based on a minimum of 4 participants per hike. Should the number
of participants on a hike be less than 4, the price might change.
All prices are guaranteed not to change after you have received your confirmation of booking from us.
As a rough guide, HK$200 is about US$26 or €20.
Cancellations And Alterations By You
Alterations and cancellations must be notified to Hansen’s Hikes in writing and commence from the date received by Hansen’s Hikes.
In the event that you wish to cancel your booking with Hansen’s Hikes, cancellation fees have been calculated which represent fair
compensation to Hansen’s Hikes for the administrative and other expenses of processing the booking and cancellation and for the risk of
being unable to resell the booking, are as described under the section “Cancellations” on this page.

If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, the following Cancellation Fees will be charged to your credit card:

Cancellations And Alterations By Hansen’s Hikes
i) Hansen’s Hikes reserve the right to cancel your hike for any reason. In this event, you may, at Hansen’s Hikes’ discretion, be offered the
choice of an alternative of comparable or superior standard. If the alternative choice offered is not acceptable, Hansen’s Hikes shall refund
the total monies received by Hansen’s Hikes from each person affected. Hansen’s Hikes shall not be liable for any consequential loss or
damage arising from the cancellation, interruption, delay or alteration of or to any hike.
ii) Hansen’s Hikes will be under no obligation or liability for any cancellation, interruption, delay or alteration of or to any hike caused by act or
threat of war (whether declared or not), riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, discharge dispersal release or escape of
pollutants, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, sickness, bad weather, technical or transportation problems, closure of stations, ports and
airports, cancellation or changes of schedules by railways, air or bus lines or any other circumstances beyond Hansen’s Hikes’ control
amounting to force majeure.
Itinerary
Hansen’s Hikes will make every effort to adhere to the advertised route, but reserves the right to make alterations thereto at their sole
discretion.
Fitness
You have booked a hiking tour and you are responsible for ensuring your suitability for such a tour. If you have any doubt, you must consult
your physician and advise Hansen’s Hikes accordingly.
Liability And Accident Health Insurance
To the best of our knowledge, all information and descriptions contained in this website are correct, errors, omissions and exceptions not
withstanding.
Hansen’s Hikes cannot take responsibility for a client's misunderstanding of information contained herein. The responsibility and liability of
arrival at the start of your hike and departure at the end of your hike is that of each party member, where time is of the essence.
All activities are undertaken at your own risk. Hansen’s Hikes accepts no liability or obligation for any death, illness or injury or loss of or
damage to baggage or personal property caused to or suffered by you in relation to your hike, and any medical condition or medication being
taken that may affect your health or ability must be notified to Hansen’s Hikes in advance and in writing and must be accompanied by a
doctor’s certificate as to fitness. You are strongly advised to obtain adequate insurance cover for all eventualities connected with your hike.
All participants on our hikes must read and sign our Release And Assumption Of Risk Agreement. Participation in our hikes is contingent
upon our receipt of this form.
Conduct
Hansen’s Hikes reserve the right to refuse a party member's participation on any hike where it is considered that their actions may cause
risk to themselves or others.
Meals
Hansen’s Hikes will attempt to accommodate but cannot guarantee special dietary needs.
Photography
Hansen’s Hikes reserve the right to take photographic or video records of the hikes, and of the participants, and to use those records for
promotional and/or commercial purposes without recourse or compensation.
Complaints
If you have cause for complaint while on your hike, you must immediately bring it to the attention of Hansen’s Hikes’ local representatives
who will do their best to rectify the situation. In the event that you remain unsatisfied, you should make your complaint to Hansen’s Hikes’
office in writing within 14 days of the completion of your hike. If you fail to do so, you will be taken to have waived any claim that you may have
had against Hansen’s Hikes.
